Durham streets open up for a human-powered parade:  Durham in Motion

The fourth and final Bull City Open Streets of 2011 returns to Durham Central Park on October 9th from 1-4pm.  Bull City Open Streets will feature a ⅔ mile loop of car-free streets.  Foster, Geer, Washington, and Corporation Streets will be open as public boulevards for biking, walking, and playing, and will be closed to automobile traffic.  Come enjoy the open streets—there will be free fitness classes, dance lessons, and more!  Bring the whole family—new this time is a Kids’ Zone with bouncy houses and a full street of kid’s activities.  We are kicking off the event at 1pm with a human-powered parade—everyone is welcome to participate.
