Hello Neighbors

The folks in the City’s Neighborhood Energy Retrofit Project (NERP) neighborhoods are excited by the insulation, workshops, and programmable thermostats.  “Hello neighbors!” greeted me in my inbox. Emily, a NERP participant in the Spring Valley neighborhood, wanted to share her new ideas with her local listserv.  The email continued

We realized that when the new insulation was blown into the attic that it would cover up the joist and the existing walkway we have in place.   So, we went in and adjusted the height of the walkway so that when the new insulation is added it will come to the height of the new walkway.  This way we don’t lose sight of the needed walkway.”

Not only did she send this email out to her neighbors, but she included a picture so that all could see. Take a look, and thanks for sharing, Emily.
