Energy Efficiency Projects in the N&O

The Home & Garden section of the New Year’s Day News & Observer featured a once-a-month list of home projects to do over the coming year that will “save you money in the long run.”  Although the article was not specifically about energy efficiency, it just so happened that 8 of the 12 projects lead to money savings through improved energy efficiency.  We recommend many of the same projects, like changing the furnace filter regularly (January) and cleaning your refrigerator coils (June).  Check out the article, visit our website for additional recommendations, and then make some of your own energy efficiency improvements.  Here’s to a Happy and Energy Efficient New Year!
