And BINGO Was His Name-O…

Even though BINGO seemed to be the highlight of a recent November evening at the West End Community Center, it was more than game night.  Neighborhood Energy Retrofit Program (NERP) volunteer leaders from Northgate Park, Morehead Hill, West End, and Fisher Heights neighborhoods gathered to learn how to engage and teach their fellow neighbors about how to save energy.  Volunteers started their fun-filled and educational workshop with a meet-and-greet session during dinner, courtesy of Clean Energy Durham’s own Lenora Smith.

Volunteers learned about various energy-saving opportunities they can teach fellow neighbors how to implement in their homes with confidence and ease.  The evening was topped off with a high energy game of BINGO—volunteers learned various energy-saving techniques, tips and strategies that will be helpful for them when they teach their neighbors how to save energy.

By the end of the evening folks had met new neighbors, laughed, learned about energy efficiency—but most importantly HAD FUN!!
