Confessions of a Former Car Driver

Below are statements made by a Durham resident after his car broke down in the spring and he started relying on the bus:

  • I’m addicted to exercise from walking to the bus.
  • Convenience makes us soft!   We need to know how to plan.  We get in the car to go 3 blocks to the store to buy half and half!  If you take the bus, you learn how to plan before you go to the store.
  • The price of gas keeps going up, but I have an unlimited bus pass for $36/month – and now there is a free bus (Bull City Connector).
  • Get on the bus – you won’t regret it!
