Meet Our New Transit Education Specialist

Robin Michler joined the staff of Clean Energy Durham on September 1st as the new Transit Education Specialist.  He replaces Jessalee Landfried, who left to start Duke law school while at the same time continuing to work on her Master’s of Environmental Management at the Nicholas School.

Robin may have some big shoes to fill, but we know he can do it!  He just received his Master’s in City and Regional Planning at UNC-Chapel Hill, with a specialization in transportation planning. While getting his degree, he helped prepare and edit materials for a new graduate level pedestrian and bicycle planning course.  He also spent the summer of 2009 in the Netherlands doing research on bicycle transit for the Ministry of Transport.

Robin and his wife live in Carrboro, where Robin serves on the Transportation Advisory Board.  He takes the bus to his new job in Durham.

Robin will be working under contracts with Triangle Transit and Triangle J Council of Governments to promote the GoTriangle.org program in target Durham neighborhoods.  GoTriangle.org is a convenient link for finding lots of information about public transit, ridesharing, biking, and walking in the Triangle.
