Lochaven Neighborhood NERPELS

During the recent neighborhood trainings for the Neighborhood Energy Retrofit Program (NERP), neighborhood volunteers impressed Clean Energy Durham staff with all the interesting ways they’re personalizing outreach to their neighborhoods. Lochaven volunteers have named themselves NERPELS – Neighborhood Energy Retrofit Program Energy Leaders. In addition, the neighborhood has made some great suggestions for ways to clearly describe the canvassing process to volunteers.

Lochaven is located west of Latta Road, in the northern-most community selected for the NERP program. Although some of the volunteers’ homes do not qualify for the program, they hope to identify almost 50 of their neighbors who do qualify and that will benefit from the home retrofits. Clean Energy Durham is very proud of the Phase I neighborhood NERPELS!
