Bull City Summer Streets This Sunday!

May 18, 2010 at 6:40 pm Leave a comment

On Sunday May 23rd from 2 – 6 p.m., we’re opening the streets as public boulevards for biking, walking and playing! Enjoy the open streets, play catch at the DAP’s open field, take free aerobics classes from the Durham YMCA all day, and more! Check out our website for more detailed information.

One of the first such events in the southeast, Bull City Summer Streets follows a tradition of open streets events that began with Bogota, Colombia’s ‘ciclovia’, and now occurs regularly in NYC, San Francisco and St. Louis.

Join us, bring your friends, and help us make it a habit in Durham too.

For more info, or to volunteer, contact Transit Specialist Jessalee Landfried, 919.622.1309, or at jessalee@cleanenergydurham.org.

Bull City Summer Streets is brought to you by Clean Energy Durham, GoTriangle, Durham CAN and the Partnership for a Healthy Durham.
