Duke Energy Offers $30 to Recycle Old Refrigerators & Freezers

Here’s how the Appliance Recycling program works:

• Schedule an appliance pickup online or by phone.
• Duke Energy comes to your house and picks up your appliance for free.
• Your refrigerator or freezer will then go to a local recycling center, where 95% of it will be recycled.
• Duke Energy will send you a check for $30. Or, you can donate the funds directly to the Share the Warmth assistance program.
