Durham’s City-County Sustainability Office is holding its lawn and garden equipment trade-in event for the second year (Get Your Grass Off Gas Trade-In for Cleaner Air) to encourage use of electric-powered equipment as alternatives to gasoline-powered lawn and garden equipment. Gasoline lawn and garden equipment are “highly polluting when running” and contribute to poorer air quality and higher local ozone levels.
Durham’s City-County Sustainability Office has partnered with Black and Decker to provide electric alternatives at substantially reduced prices with the trade in of an equivalent gasoline-powered model.
