Purchase Qualifying Energy Star Products Tax-Free Starting Today

Starting today (Nov. 4th) through Sunday (Nov. 6th) North Carolina Residents can purchase certain qualified Energy Star products free of the usual sales and use tax (6.75% for most counties).  So, if you are in the market for a new appliance now is a great time to buy—save money on sales tax, and save money every time you use the appliance!

  • refrigerators
  • central air conditioners
  • room air conditioners
  • air-source heat pumps
  • ceiling fans
  • dehumidifiers
  • programmable thermostats
